PLZ survival as an abbreviation of Plymouth Zombie Survival. We are an immersive live theatre company that specialise in the horror genre. Our live shows include zombie based treasure hunts including actors and various team challenges.
Dependant on the aspects of an event, an age limit has to be applied. The current event is strictly 18 and above due to its nature. You will need to bring a valid form of identification when registering at the start of the event.
Depending not he event, participants will commence the course in teams of 6 to 15, Larger scale events can see groups of up to 40. Whether this is a large group of people you know, or friends you haven’t met yet, is up to you. You will have to book your time slot when buying your tickets, so organise your mates and book up fast to avoid disappointment. Some event require minimum tickets purchase.
NO. Zombies are actors, and you must not make any intentional physical contact with them. Please note that our actors may touch you as part of the show. They will NOT do anything to harm you or your team mates. If you do not wished to be touched throughout the game, please inform a member of staff when you arrive so that we can give you the correct coloured arm band to inform our actors. We run a zero tolerance policy on physical aggression; the safety of our actors is our priority, and breach of policy will terminate your participation with no refund.
If a zombie manages to grab you, you will be partially infected and the virus will start to slowly turn you into a zombie. This does not mean your game is over but it will affect your score at the end.
Throughout the game, you will be given pieces of map that take you around the site. There are also maps on the walls that will tell you where you are. If you do get lost, don’t panic and find the nearest actor or member of staff with a high visibility jacket on and tell them straight away. There will be a helpline you can call in case of emmergency on the game map given to you at the start of the event.
We encourage participants to dress up and get fully into character; remember you are a survivor, not a zombie. Please don’t wear your favourite outfit or high heels; a lot of walking is involved and zombie blood may stain. We suggest comfortable flat shoes, maybe a torch and definitely one mobile phone within your group.
This is a big NO. The safety of participants, staff and members of the public is our main priority. This is not a fighting display and we are not insured for it. Any props used during the game with be provided by us. We do not want to cause any hysteria where the police may have to get involved.
We LOVE pictures! And videos. Go-pros are welcome. But use your common sense; we would really appreciate hearing about your pics and videos after the event. Don’t be a spoilsport and post them before the event is over – you’ll give the game away for other people.
Please be aware that this is a scare event, so if you have a heart condition, it’s probably not advisable. For any other medical conditions, you may want to discuss your options with a medical professional. If you still wish to participate, please be aware that you will be doing so at your own risk.
Debrief and prize if you survive. There will be a catering van where you may choose to get some refreshments and also our famous zombie booth where you can get your very own photograph with some of our actors. There is also a meet and greet if you choose to come back at the end of the night!
